Vintage Anton Schneider Cuckoo Clock

This Anton Schneider Black Forest cuckoo clock has never been operated, never been mounted on a wall, and was found exactly as it left the factory in Germany. The clock is still in its original factory carton. In the world of vintage mechanical clocks, this level of preservation is genuinely rare.

Anton Schneider is one of the most celebrated names in Black Forest cuckoo clock craftsmanship, known for exceptional hand-carved detail and construction that lasts generations. The movement is Regula, the most respected movement manufacturer in Black Forest clockmaking, synonymous with precision and reliability.

This is not a simple cuckoo clock. The 22-note Swiss Romance musical movement plays two beloved melodies alternating each hour, Der fröhliche Wanderer and Edelweiss. The music plays in full conjunction with the cuckoo call. An animated dancing couple appears on the upper balcony on the hour. A functioning water wheel turns on the side of the chalet. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour. The traditional Black Forest chalet case features a carved mountain peak roof, window shutters, flower boxes, hand-painted floral details, wooden dial with Roman numerals, and wooden hands.

Everything original is included. The clock case, three cast iron pinecone weights, the pendulum, and the original factory carton.
